Service Agreements
Our Service Agreements are a great way to get peace of mind throughout the year. These agreements cover the cost of most parts in a furnace, air conditioner, or both! It also covers labor rates associated with the repairs. The cost is 119.95 for a furnace service agreement, for a single visit furnace and air conditioner 179.95 and for a 2 visit (e.g. ac in spring, furnace in fall) the cost is 199.95. These costs include the safety inspection that is currently being performed on the equipment. So basically if you wanted a single visit to check the air conditioner and furnace and get a one year service contract on both, you would pay $179.95 for more details on the service contracts, and which parts are and are not covered as well as any travel charges, contact our office today for details and to schedule an appointment!







Maintenance and Safety Inspections
We provide a comprehensive preventive maintenance tune-up that also includes a safety check such as a carbon monoxide check and gas leak check. Here are the points we address when checking your furnace:

Thermostat Check-
  • Check the thermostat for dust/dirt and level if needed
  • Check the setting of the heat anticipator
  • Check for proper temperature calibration
Blower check-
  • Check wiring to motor, and all connections
  • Clean blower compartment
  • Check motor and blower bearings
  • Oil motor and bearings
  • Check pulley and drive alignment (if belt driven blower)
  • Check belt and tension (belt drive motors)
Burner Check-
  • Remove burners and clean if needed
  • Remove pilot assembly and clean (if equipped)
  • Check and adjust primary air to burners
  • Check manifold gas pressure and adjust if needed
  • Check and adjust pilot flame (if equipped)
Safety Control Check-
  • Check high limit safety switch
  • Check fan relays and on/off temperatures
  • Check gas valve safety control
  • Check thermocouple (if equipped)
  • Check temperature rise across heat exchanger
  • Check appliance piping for gas leaks
  • Check unit for carbon monoxide emissions
Combustion Chamber Check-
  • Inspect heat exchanger for cracks, holes and corrosion
  • Check exhaust piping for leakage
  • Inspect front plate of heat exchanger for cracks or corrosion
Electrical-
  • Check amp draws on blower motor and inducer motors (if equipped)
  • Measure high and low voltages
  • Check flame rectification (electronic ignition)
  • Check voltage drops across safety switches
  • Inspect circuit board and verify all safety devices are properly connected to circuitry and functioning.

 

24 Hour Emergency Service
Here at Keep Heating and Cooling we understand that furnaces and air conditioners don't always take your schedule in to consideration when they decide to stop working. Hours and Rates

It is considered overtime rate between 4:30pm until 8:00am during the week. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays are all considered after hours service and will be subject to the rates listed below. If you have a service contract you will need to present this to the technician upon arrival. On a covered event, your service agreement will cover all but the trip charge.


Residential Rates

A Call Charge of $40 will be assessed with a minimum of a half hour labor. The hourly after hours rate for residential customers will be $100 per hour. A normal business hour repair is charged at $80 per hour.
